A Word From The Author
I wrote Decisions by Fire because I’ve been where you are—overwhelmed by the weight of leadership and constantly questioning if the decisions I made were truly the best for my staff, students, and school community. After years of climbing the leadership ladder, from teacher to principal to district leader, I realized that effective decision-making wasn’t just about having the right data or processes—it was about aligning decisions with my core values, leading with empathy, and creating systems that empowered everyone around me.

This book is born from the lessons I’ve learned in and the coaching work I do with leaders like you. I want to give you the tools to lead confidently, build sustainable systems, and make decisions that create thriving, healthy cultures—without burning out.. My hope is that Decisions by Fire becomes your go-to guide for turning those overwhelming moments into opportunities for growth and clarity.
